Miles loved this book! When we finished “Charlie and the Christmas Kitty” by Ree Drummond, he begged to read it again. As we went through the story, he went through all of the pages and pointed out Charlie. When Charlie saw the kitty and suggested it might be a rabbit, Miles screamed “NO! it’s a kitty! Look mommy, no rabbit, kitty!”
He was so excited. Even though Charlie wasn’t too excited at first that a kitty showed up he finally makes friends. Just in time to see a new puppy arriving. We are trying to learn about the Christmas holiday and he really loves cats and dogs. What a perfect book for him. I bet we have to read it about 100 more times over the next month.
At the end of “Charlie and the Christmas Kitty” by Ree Drummond there is a recipe for cookies. I told Miles we would make them for Santa this year. This will be our first round of baking with each other. He is already excited!!
