When his parents won a trip to Australia and couldn’t take him along, Fred Squire is given a choice. He could either stay with his grandparents in Scotland or go visit his parent’s friend Phil in America, or as everyone calls it, "across the pond."
Fred doesn’t know what to expect but it’s not Brittney or Brit, Phil's daughter who Fred is immediately attracted to. They grow close and Brit tells her English knight a secret that she hasn’t even told her mother. A few misunderstandings and a fight later they are inseparable and completely in love. If only they could get over the language differences!
While attending his first baseball game in America, Fred manages to catch a ball worth a lot of money, and instantly Fred is a celebrity. He is chased by a strange man and bothered by an annoying woman to sell the ball. But before he leaves, Fred wants to give Brit something to remember him by and the baseball gives him a great idea.
"Across the Pond" by Storyheart is a book that has a nice love story intertwined with a message. I loved this book and it’s recommended to everyone.

I like the sound of this book. Of course, it's only natural that baseball would be the common denominator. That is so imganitive. Outstanding.

This is one of the books that my oldest asked for for Christmas or her birthday. She didn't get it, but I will make sure to keep looking for it. Sounds like she'd really enjoy this!
